DBMR Safety

Fire

Observe - Think – Act

Open flames, heat, electricity, flammable and explosive substances, equipment etc.  must be handled in such a way that no fires or explosions occur.

Owners and users of buildings and facilities ensure that the safety of persons, animals and property is guaranteed. In particular, they keep the escape and rescue routes free at all times, check the operational readiness of fire alarm and firefighting equipment (evacuation drill), instruct the staff (initial instruction by supervisors, firefighting training) and issue instructions for alerting the fire brigade and the behavior in the event of a fire (leaflet “what to do in an emergency”, emergency sheets, emergency concepts).

Those who supervise others ensure that they are instructed and exercise the necessary caution. In case of fire, one should know how to use a fire extinguisher.

Anyone who discovers a fire or signs of it immediately alerts the fire department and vulnerable people.
